30 Tik Tok Nurses You Need in Your Feed in 2022
The nurse game is strong on Tik Tok - It’s only been the last few months that I’ve dug into the platform and fallen head-over-heels with #nursetok as it’s been aptly named. Nurse Tok has become a staple of my day - it’s like a major news network to me now. I feel like these nurses I’ve never met are my allies, my friends, my kin. At this risk of burying you in cheesy shit, this has enriched my life.
How did it do that, you ask? Let’s count the ways.
I’ve learned a lot of really useful clinical information that is immediately applicable in my practice - often these are things that were never taught to me in school and would have been really helpful to know before now.
I’ve been kept in the know of current events, legislation, and movements in the profession.
Tik Tok nurses have made me laugh til I cry, have made me just plain cry with emotion, and have made me feel less alone in my own experiences.
They have given me the courage to speak my own truth and to be an advocate for myself and my colleagues.
Yeah, sometimes social media can be a time suck, but it also holds so much potential for good.
In this post, I’m going to drop my top 30 nurse-run accounts (no shade to the MDs, PAs, and other providers of the interwebs). These accounts grace the spectrum from comedy to education to general nurse life. I follow probably three times as many nurses as this, and no shade to them either. These are just the nurses that stop me from scrolling every single time. This list easily could have been twice as long.
